Goals and Objectives
Obtain 3 standard abdominal views for peritoneal fluid:
- Hepatorenal
- Spleenorenal
- Pelvic
Recognize intraperitoneal fluid
Understand how to apply the FAST exam to non-trauma cases
Renal
- Ultrasound the both kidenys in the long and short axis
- Recognize moderate to severe hydronephrosis
Bladder distension
- Ultrasound bladder in long and short axis
- Qualitatively and quantitatively identify bladder distension
